Conventional cotton is one of the most environmentally harmful crops for our planet. Because cotton is a delicate plant, farmers must spray it heavily to meet the demands of the globalized clothing corporatocracy. This extreme application of pesticides leads to poisonous runoff, contaminating groundwater and leaving whole agricultural tracts barren.

When cotton is farmed organically, insects are used as a substitute for these pesticides, crops are rotated with legumes to maintain healthy soil systems, and weeds are kept down through tillage and hand operated tools.

Many people have already switched over to organic foods, so it follows that we should buy clothing and other products produced in a more sustainable way. Printed with low impact, water based inks, our shirts do not demand the other hazardous inputs, such as toxic dyes, that are used to cut costs in corporate manufacturing.
